[Preview] Pink Macarons For The Cure and Parrot Tulips
My Ate Beth followed the footsteps of our aunts and became a teacher. I fondly remember that, when I was a little girl, on special occasions, she took me to the school where she taught. I do not particularly remember what subjects she taught, but I remember the yummy treats she made, like yema, a confection made from mainly egg yolks, sugar, and milk. Imagine my utter disappointment with the yemas in Madrid. Ate Beth is also very good with arts and crafts, and I just know that sugarcraft would be something she’d be very good at should she dabble into it.
For my next project, I’m making gumpaste parrot tulips. I plan to make a few more in various stages with the pistil and stamens showing even. Hopefully, by next year I’d train for the The Susan G. Komen 3-Day and raise money for the cure with my macarons, sugarcraft, and yema (when I get the recipe).
