Apple Blog Hop: Apple Strudel in the Round

Thirty-seven years ago today, my younger brother Arnold was born.  I remember he had the pinkest little toes, the fairest skin, and I thought a mango-shaped of a head ;-) .  I remember the first time I saw him, then many months of blur.  Then when he turned 1-year old, the whole world  watched Thrilla in Manila.  I didn’t  remember that boxing match, but I saw the clipping tucked between the pages of his baby book.  My brother may be all grown up, but he will always be my little brother.  Happy Birthday, Arnold!

For the Apple Love Blog Hop, I made Apple Strudel in the Round, adapted from LA Times Test Kitchen.  For the original recipe, please click here.  I used cardamom instead of cinnamon.

notes

  1. This is so easy to make, and it’s something I will definitely make again!
  2. Takes a little planning.  Make sure everything you need is ready before starting assembly.
